How we got started
In November 2005 several local churches partnered with Friends and Family Community Connection (FFCC) in an effort to help meet the growing needs of families in our community. FFCC has been working to help families in the areas of Poway and Rancho Penñasquitos for many years. Together we have established working relationships with law enforcement, apartment managers, and school teachers/counselors who all help to identify which families could use assistance. Whether from a single parent family, or those disabled by accident or injury, many families in our area have fallen through the cracks and need our help. Positive feedback pours in from the families, the school and also the volunteer participants.
